Feeling like veterans (after cruising with five different cruiselines in five years) my mate and I saw a deal on a mini-suite cabin that we couldn't resist on a 5-day repositioning cruise from L.A. to Vancouver. We booked it. A week later we boarded the "Pearl" and headed into the best cruising experience we've ever known.
Okay, the cabin was small, but it didn't matter after experiencing our first "freestyle" meal in the main dining room. The food (mind you, my mate is a gourmet chef!) was excellent. Well-prepared, well-served, and well-presented.
Dinner was followed by the best entertainment we've witnessed on any ship (believe me, the shows can be cheezy!) NCL wisely booked Jean Ann Ryan Productions to dazzle everyone's eyes in their Broadway-sized Stardust Theatre.
If you like good food, an agreeable staff, and good family entertainment, the "Pearl" is a total win. The "spa" is a great deal, too. |
